these are the front and back view of the upper right canine. but in human, in partiular in those who brux (me), the cusp tip will be worn off..
characteristics to note: M slope of incisal edge is shorter than distal slope. that's why the cusp tip seems more mesially placed. M-I angle is sharper than D-I angle. M contact point is lower than distal contact point. the incisal margin occupies 1/3 to 1/2 the height of the crown (this is the best way to distinguish the upper canine from the lower canine). on the Li aspect, cingulum is prominent and 2 shallow and concave lingual fossae on either side of the lingual ridge. root is distally placed. proportion is impt yeh..
